Why SEO Part 1
The significance and importance of SEO cannot be underestimated by any website owner looking to get increased traffic to their site. Pay-per click advertising (PPC)
is always going to be subject to some kind of risk, where as investing
in SEO is totally risk free. Competitors are so adept at using black
techniques (including the use of illegal software) that it becomes a
search battlefield when you are competing for specific pay-per click
search terms. Even advanced search programs like Google Adwords are
never 100 per cent reliable. The only risk involved in SEO is the risk
of choosing the wrong SEO provider, who will often provide you with an expensive “quick fix” SEO strategy.
SEO
is very reliable and will often keep working long after your marketing
budget runs dry. Any search professional worth their coin knows that
good SEO requires good SEO maintenance, if you adhere to proper SEO
guidelines in the early stages, your website will rank high in organic
searches for a very long time. This is opposed to SEM techniques tend to involve expensive pay-per click (PPC) campaigns that can often exhaust your budget in little time, partly due to competitors moving in with more “search muscle”.
SEO can also work as a buffer to get your website ranking high
in searches. As your website climbs higher and higher organically, you
can reduce your spend on pay-per click campaigns. Once your SEO
strategy is fully in place and your website ranks high on the first two
pages of search results, you can move the entire marketing budget to SEO maintenance and simply sit back and let the users flock to your website.
