My SEO Rankings have Dropped
It is not unusual for Search Engine Optimised (SEO) pages to occasional drop in ranking. While this can be due to the readjustment of certain algorithms used by search engines to evaluate SEO websites, it may also mean that it is time to re-evaluate your website to check if your SEO is still worthy of a top ranking. Here are a few tips for identifying potential causes for a drop in your SEO web pages.
Double Check the Site Structure of your SEO Website
The first thing to do after you’ve established that the drop in your search engine ranking is not due to changes made by search engine algorithms is to recheck your site structure and ensure that it is still appropriately SEO. Talk to your web designer and assess the status of your navigation, SEO copy and usability. Also analyse your SEO web content and ensure it cannot be mistaken for spam.
Check Competitor SEO Websites
Evaluate other websites which have better SEO ranks than your website and analyse what they do differently. Also check market trends and all websites which may be linking to you, and thus dragging you down.
Contact a SEO Specialist for a Site Audit
If you are unable to locate the cause for the drop in your search engine ranking, it may be best to obtain the services of a SEO Specialist. The SEO specialist will be able to conduct a total audit of your website and establish how you are lacking in SEO. Once the SEO specialist has identified the issues with your SEO, then make sure you constantly monitor the changes you have made to ensure it continuously assists you with obtaining a better search engine ranking.
