creative web design
When approaching creative web
design, it’s important to choose a web
designer who understands that there’s more to being creative then
just coming up with new ideas. Creative web design is all about
finding the perfect balance between three ways of thinking. All ways of thinking
can be both learned and enhanced.
The first way of thinking is called
analytical. Having analytical ability involves approaching web
design from a critical standpoint. The web designer must think
convergently and constantly be evaluating their thoughts and ideas. Having a new
idea means nothing if the web designer cannot determine if the idea is good or
bad. Coming up with good creative web design is all about
culling ideas down to a select few.
The second way of thinking is called
synthetic. Having synthetic ability involves divergent thinking and refers to
the generation of new ideas. The web designer must think spontaneously and
instantaneously make connections between differing ideas. If a group of
web designers all have great ideas, a synthetic thinker will be
able to take the best parts of each and combine them in a unique way. This is
the key to great creative web design.
The third way of
thinking is called practical. Having practical ability involves turning a good
idea into a reality; it also refers to making other people believe in the idea.
The web designer must follow through and communicate the idea to everyone
involved. It’s really about making people realise the potential for fantastic
creative web design.
